The tech was polite and very curtious

Tech found system satisfied at 77. Tech turned system on and found it cooling with all measurements within specifications. Return temp 77 supply temp is 55. Based on description by customer, tech suspects an intermittent issue with thermostat. Tech found bugs in thermostat and explained this is a common problem with intermittent thermostat issues. Customer declined repairs. Tech also recommended ESA.

The water line that comes from the meter to the house is about an 800 foot run somewhere between the meter and the house. There is a blockage from a repair from the contractor who broke the line. I tried cutting the line in various places to locate the blockage, and was unable to locate where the blockage is in the line. Contractor that was here decided on running a new pex line from the meter to the house.

Quoted new mini split for control room

Found Mini Split system very low on charge. Discussed scenarios for addressing leak. Opted to charge system up for time being. Added 4lbs of R410A. System replacement would be best option considering age, and ongoing/costly repairs. Handed over to field supervisor.

Replaced pop up assembly in sink.

17 year old R22 system. Found evaporator coils/compressor completely frozen. Found blower wheel warped, and bracket that holds up blower housing broken causing airflow challenges. Motor bearings are failing as well due to this. Wheel and motor would need replacement at the minimum. Unable to do proper leak search due to frozen coils, but potential for refrigerant leaks are high due to heavily rusted coils/age, and may be contributing to system freezing up only adding further repair costs. Heating components are also heavily rusted. Evaporator coils and condenser coils compacted. System is in overall poor condition. Costly repairs not recommended. Handed over to field supervisor. System is down.
