Tech found ignition control board bland with 24v going to board. Tech replaced board and found system running but tripped on high limit. Tech went to check airflow out of the vents and found 5 vents closed off. Tech also found low stage pressure slightly high at 6 and adjusted. Once vents were open and pressure adjusted, system ran without tripping. Tech also noted high stage maxed out at 9.75. System is now heating properly.

Tech returned and changed 50amp heat strip breaker in main panel that was tripping, tech cycled system in aux heat with new breaker and found no challenges.

Tech found failed gas valve not allowing pressure through, tech replaced after approval and converted LP spring, after cycling system tech found gas regulator not letting enough pressure through to gas valve, tank is about half full, tech doesn’t have correct regulator on truck and informed customer to call gas company. Gas valve will need to be adjusted to correct pressures when fixed.

Field supervisor completed check. Found compressor, OD fan, and indoor fan amps to be with range. Field supervisor did show customer evaporator coil to be extremely rusty. Customer would like to hold off on replacement or repair at this time.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found compressor to be over amping and evaporator coil to be extremely rusted and corroded along with contactor to be pitted tech set up lead for field supervisor to come out. Unit is up running after today’s visit. Will need to return with 2 14x20x1 filters

Customer informed tech that low voltage fuse blew prior to previous tech coming out due to replacing focus pro thermostat with smart thermostat without turning off power. Previous tech replaced fuse. Tech arrived today to find a second focus pro thermostat sitting askew on original focus pro backplate, not making contact. Old focus pro is in a drawer. Tech installed new backplate from new focus pro under new focus pro. Making good contact. Tested 16 year old gas pack. Heat exchanger shows some corrosion. No cracks or holes. LP gas pressure is 10" WC. No further challenges. Upon testing, burners did not light after inducer started. Tech ensured low voltage plugs are secured. System lit 3 times in a row. Back heating. Tech collected trip charge.

Tech found package unit in a high pressure switch lockout. Tech found two 24*24*1 filters dirty. Customer states changed six months ago. Tech replaced filters with new customer supplied filters and found refrigerant pressures and amp draws normal. Tech suspects ecobee may have tripped high pressure switch due to dropping G signal or dirty filters tripped pressure switch. No charge for callback. Tech left quote for focus pro. Does not like the complexity of ecobee. Customer will save up and have thermostat replaced in the future.

Tech arrived and customer stated thermostat didn’t have an emergency heat mode. Trane 824 thermostat has emergency heat mode and tech showed customer how to access. System is on and working properly at this time.

Customer stated outdoor unit not coming on. Tech turned thermostat on and found normal operation. Tech verified defrost works properly, sensors are reading correct resistance, no fault and aux heat is working. Tech found slightly elevated head pressure and checked airflow. Coil is clean and nothing blocking the back side of the coil. Filter is good and total external static is .41. Tech did notice noisy vents and noticed supply ductwork has not been replaced. Tech recommended updating ductwork but system is working properly. 102 supply temp. Customer has had no issues with thermostat not satisfying.

Upon arrival customer stated fan was not running but compressor was and she saw a lot of steam, tech cycled system and forced defrost and showed customer confirmed that is what system was doing. Tech explained defrost operation to customer and found no further challenges at this time, tech informed customer of system age and condition.

Customer was concerned about the thermostat was set incorrectly by our ESA tech. Thermostat was set to schedule mode and customer did not request that. Tech corrected the settings nd tested the system, delta T is writhing specs. No charge due to recent visits.
