Technician returned to connect duct work. Once connected system heat is operating at 96 degrees supply return at 48 degrees. Tech air will be removed from that room by return now since it is connected. Tech found on the Trane package unit s#524D technician found system would test defrost properly but when technician tested coil sensor found it not to close when temperature was cold enough for it close. Technician put sensor in the snow and sensor would still not close. Technician diagnosed a failed coil sensor if approved will need to order. Unit for store and office tech found vents were blowing out 100 plus air from supply vents but in the furthest room it was colder then normal and thermostat is in that room. Tech did confirm supply was 100 out both supply vents in the office as well. Technician found extremely dirty air filter restricts cold from being removed from office. Technician recommends maintenance on systems. Customer approved coil sensor.

- Tech found thermostat displaying sensor issue upon arrival. Confirmed accurate temperature reading and noted thermostat programmed to use outdoor temperature sensor; with no temperature sensor equipped. Reset thermostat and programmed for 2 stage gas heat and 1 stage cool. System is operating normally at this time with no fault codes.

- Tech inspected Trane Package unit upon arrival, noting almost 2” of ice formation on the lineset and condenser coil. Ran system in cool mode to attempt de-icing for 15 minutes with no success. Confirmed heat strip operation and informed customer we will return at a later time to further diagnose, in addition to a second system that is not operating. - Tech installed a pre-supplied 12” tap collar on the square intake on the return plenum of the Goodman system. Flex duct is 10” and will need a 12>10” reducer installed upon revisit. Configured current assembly to operate until the reducer is installed. System operating normally.

Technician found 5amp fuse blown tech traced wires and found condenser thermostat wires damaged and old and brittle. Tech found 24v red wire shorted to cabinet. Tech recommend replacing 2 ft of thermostat wire. Ann approved over phone system is operating properly at this time.

Tech got motor to start but recommended replacement due to excessive heat on bearings and multiple instances of issue. Customer approved ordering motor to return and replace. Technician found the same issue that happened the 9th happing 3 phase monitor was not lite up. Technician reset disconnect and found when put lever back up the it would not make good connection to allow proper voltage to phase monitor. Technician removed lever bracket and made good connection. Technician spoke with office they will send over a quote for replacing 3 phase disconnect.

Tech returned to replace defrost control board. Unit is back up and running and delta t is within specification at this time and customer is satisfied with todays service. All ok at this time. No challenges prior to install.

Split system Goodman heats office. Technician found em heat on thermostat. Once technician cycled heat compressor started up pressure were 92/330 with in specs on heating mode according to the data plate. Technician took temperature reading and found 100 out the 80 with compressor and 102 with aux heat. Technician inspected duct system found open return on the split in a closed tile ceiling. There is a return grill but it is not connected to the rerun box. Technician suspected system is not removing the air from the room only to ceiling tile and roof which is way colder. Technician inspected other package system that was frozen over and ensured defrost cycle system is operating properly at this time. They had another person come and look at it the night before and fixed the issue. System is operating properly at this time. Split system will require a 10 in collar to connect to return box and flex connector to grill. To allow air flow properly.

Technician found variable speed blower motor was not making good connection onto the stakon. Technician clean up the connector and blower kicked right on. Technician inspected system found compressor was engaged and heat strips was engaged as well due to being so cold in the house. Technician informed customer on findings he approved the cleaning up connection and also invested in premium plan. System is heating properly at this time.

Tech returned to install turbo capacitor. Tech rechecked delta t and it is still within specification after capacitor install. Customer is satisfied with today’s service and all ok at this time.

Tech performed service on trane split system. Found uv bulb burning at filaments, previous tech installed uv bulb last service, due to previous installation, tech replaced uv bulb under warranty. As tech was performing service, did not receive any amp draws from contactor and noticed compressor was not running. Tech tested 50/5mfd run capacitor, all ok at this time. Tech noticed compressor went into internal overload, tech hosed down compressor for approximately 10 minutes. Unit kept going into defrost mode. Tech checked refrigerant levels and pressures inside system. High side pressure was 326.9psi as low side was 73.7. Tested okay. Tech tested ambient temperature sensor on defrost board. Read 27.6. Tested coil temperature sensor read 36.4. All ok at this time. Tech recommended replacement of defrost control board. Customer approved replacement. Talked to Joy in office for further inquiries. Delta t is within specification at this time and customer is satisfied with today’s servic

Tech performed service on miller split system. Capacitor is rated at 50+7.5mfd. As tech was testing capacitor, read 46.9mfd & 4.00mfd. Found capacitor to be weak. Recommend replacement of capacitor. Tech talked to Joy in office about situation, booked appointment to return to replace 50+7.5mfd capacitor. Tech did not get blower motor amperage due to weak capacitor. Tech encouraged customer to have unit off until further notice. Customer is aware. Delta t is within specification at this time and customer is satisfied with today’s service. Found no other challenges at todays visit.
