- Tech was informed that the dining room vent has a large volume of air produced when the upstairs thermostat is calling for heat. Tech examined duct work and found that the downstairs damper is installed post-series after the duct running to the dining room (see attached written diagram). Both the upstairs and downstairs dampers are operating normally. When the upstairs damper is open (and downstairs damper closed), air flows directly into the dining room duct before it reaches the downstairs damper. This is resulting in decreased air flow reaching the upstairs space. - Tech recommends relocating the dining room duct, installing it after the downstairs damper, in series. This will improve air flow upstairs and avoid misdirected airflow. - Customer stated that the repair should be completed at no cost to the home owner, as this was an installer error. Upon arrival tech began inspecting GF #1 and found system tripped on a 3 flash fault pressure switch stuck open. Inducer draft motor was not receiving 120v to allow switch to close due to plug not being connected at ignition control board. Connected plug and started system, inducer came on closing pressure switch and system began heating. System is back operational at this time.

Call: Thermostat is blank {Lennox packaged heat pump} - Tech found failed transformer upon arrival due to failed heat sequencer and no fuse installed to protect the transformer. Transformer was replaced in February, 2024 with no fuse - did not charge for transformer on account of part warranty. Tech replaced the transformer and installed a fuse. Tech also replaced the failed heat sequencer and confirmed proper operation. - System is operating normally at this time with a heat delta T of 43 degrees with strips.

Tech performed preventative maintenance and serviced system. Tech found no issues at this time. Customer did invest in esa. office will be sending bill to customer. System is up and running with a delta t of 20.

Tech serviced and cleaned unit. Tech found evaporator coil to be severely rusted. Tech could not leak search because leak detector keeps saying “loose wand”. Tech did not face any other issues at this time. Tech informed customer about ESA renewal. Unit is heating and cooling efficiently. Mail invoice.

PERFORMED CMA INSPECTION ON 2 GAS FURNACE/AC SPLIT SYSTEM AND 2 HEAT PUMP SPLIT SYSTEMS. GAS FURNACE #1 HAS A BAD IGNITION CONTROL BOARD, SYSTEM WORKS IN COOL MODE DUE TO PREVIOUS TECH BYPASSED BOARD SO CUSTOMER COULD HAVE AC. HEAT MODE WILL NOT WORK ON THIS SYSTEM UNTIL IGNITION CONTROL BOARD IS REPLACED, THERE IS AN ESTIMATE PROVIDED FOR REPLACEMENT OF IGNITION CONTROL BOARD. GAS FURNACE #1 BLOWOR MOTOR CAPACITOR RATED FOR 20mf TESTED WEAK AT 16.33mf, CAPACITOR IS DUE FOR FAILURE. RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT OF CAPACITOR, THERE IS AN ESTIMATE PROVIDED FOR REPLACEMENT OF CAPACITOR. SPLIT SYSTEM #4/AIR HANDLER #4 HEAT STRIPS ARE WORKING PROPERLY AT THIS TIME AND SYSTEM IS HEATING PROPERLY, EVAPORATOR COIL IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND DRAIN LINES WERE FLUSHED OUT BY TECHNICIAN.

Tech returned to replace evaporator coil, tech recovered recovered refrigerant and sweat old coil out while flowing nitrogen, tech removed EEV and installed on new coil, sweat new coil in and added new filter drier, performed nitrogen pressure test for 30 min with no drop, pulled vacuum to 300 microns and added factory charge system is now operating and cooling properly.

Tech arrived and found upstairs system cutting out in low pressure, found lots of leaks in new evaporator coil we replaced last year. Tech spoke with office and we are ordering a new coil and replacing under full warranty. Tech recommended service agreement customer stated they will probably sign up when we come to replace coil.

-Performed CMA Inspection on 2 2014 Trane 5 Ton Split Heat Pumps. Changed filters, checked electrical & operating temperatures, cleaned drain pans and flushed drain lines. Systems operating without challenges at this time. -Performed operation inspection on 2 Hanging Tube heaters. Heaters operating correctly at this time. -System Performance Reports for 2 Split Heat Pumps to be emailed along with this invoice summary.

Tech washed and serviced unit per service agreement, upon arrival tech found blower wheel very dirty tech cleaned blower wheel and recommend plasma air to help keep the blower wheel clean customer wants to wait for installation of plasma air, tech also found capacitor testing below spec, tech recommended replacement of capacitor, customer approved at today’s visit, tech found no other challenges at this time, system is back up and running and holding a delta t of 20 degrees, tech also found hood of system coming off the wall, will need to talk with office about repair

Unit #8..converted to LP (#56) orifices, set gas pressure to 10”, found flue pipe not connected to furnace correctly so corrected connection, trimmed away wood where flue pipe exits for more clearance, replaced 20 amp breaker in main panel to 15 amp. Youth building…installed manual outside air damper and installed filter rack. Ran system in heat and heated from 55 deg to 70 deg without short cycling. Indoor fan is set to high speed in cooling and heat.

- Tech found draft inducer running continuously with no flame. Start up sequence runs until the gas valve opens; the first burner ignites but will not ignite the other burners due to misshapen and corroded burner assembly. All 5 burners need to be replaced. - Found a hole in the gas valve housing, exposing the inner mechanical components. Gas valve needs to be replaced. - Found large amount of soot and carbon buildup at inducer outlet. - Confirmed no cracks in the heat exchanger; customer advised that the heat exchanger was replaced approximately 5 years ago. Evaporator coil has large amount of rust formation, increasing probability of leaks developing. - Recommended a system replacement on account of age, repair cost, and safety concerns. Requested a field supervisor for replacement estimate and recommended course of action. Customer will contact office with their decision. - Collected house call fee. Wants a quote to replace existing 49 gallon electric water heater and a separate quote for a tankless gas water heater outside.. also wants to know if we still have the tank heater flush special.

Removed and replaced the kitchen faucet with an owner supplied delta faucet. Rebuilt guest bath toilet. Replaced woodford parts on hose bib in back of the house. Master bath faucet could not get the stem apart do to corrosion on it so customer is going to try to find a matching replacement faucet

Tech returned to service airhandler.

Pulled toilet and cleared a main line blockage with the sewer machine..

Tech performed esa on two systems, tech found no issues with system operations at this time. Tech cut both systems back on after completion of service and both systems are back on and operating properly at this time. Tech found high humidity in crawlspace causing ducts and unit to sweat, tech recommended adding dehumidifier and sealing off all crawl space vents to prevent issue from occurring.
